Artists Reference Examples:
- Artist: Minna Sundberg [A Finnish-Swedish Webcomic Artist]
I personally love this artist’s storyboarding. As we can see, her storyboards are somewhat special and vividly, usually combining long / wide shots with close-up shots. From these illustrations, we can observe that it contains (extreme) long shots, high angle, low angle, close-up, and extreme close-up. Although the distance between these shots is very different, the transition between these shots is very harmonious and natural. I am thinking this storyboard processing method may also can be applied in animation.

Comic Name: Stand Still, Stay Silent
Self-Drawing Practice:

I trying to mimic the way of storyboarding and camera shot method from that artist. When I want to introduce a story, I’ll started with the close-up shots on some abstract, and then a mid-shot or a long shot of the character. Trying to build a connection between the character and the surrounding, starting the story naturally.
2. Artist: Roma Gewska
Similar to the artist Minna, she is also good at handling the transition between (Extreme)long/wide shots with close-up shots. But her style is more reasonable and clearer.
